This is a program for high net worth individuals having a substantial business track record, an entrepreneurial background and a business proposal or investment plan as regards their future plans in Singapore. This option permits the applicant to get the PR status, in the first instance. The applicant can apply for Permanent Residence (PR) status for self and his immediate family (spouse and unmarried children 21 years of age and below).

The applicant can choose among any of the following options

• Option A: Invest at least S$2.5 million in a new business entity or expansion of an existing business operation.
• Option B: Invest at least S$2.5 million in a GIP-approved fund.

There are two groups of applicants, who can be considered for the GIP:

• Individuals with at least 3 years of entrepreneurial/business track record and experience running a company with a turnover of at least S$30 million per annum in the most recent year or an aggregate of the last 3 years.
• Senior Corporate Managers (without entrepreneurial/business track record) with at least 10 years of corporate management experience. The applicant must also be currently undertaking a senior management position in the company, such as Chairman, CEO, CFO, CTO, etc. Additionally, the turnover of the company in which the applicant is employed must be at least S$100 million.
